Education

DanceWize NSW utilises peer education to reduce drug-and-alcohol-related harm at NSW dance parties and festivals.
Our staff and volunteers, recruited from the festival, rave, doof, and dance music communities, bring a wealth of knowledge, compassion, integrity, and intrinsic motivation from their own experiences within these scenes.

Care

At most events, we have a dedicated care space, located next to medical, where we can provide 1:1 peer support. This can be through a sit down and chat, or a more guided trip sit experience.

Our space is a neutral, safe space to chill out away from loud music and bright lights or unsafe situations like bullying, harassment or sexual assault.

We can provide you with a bunch of resources to make you feel better including:

  • blankets, bean bags and beds

  • hydration and snacks

  • games or fidget toys

  • safer sex resources

  • sterile injecting equipment

We have a range of resources, both digital and physical, that explores safer drug use and partying.

  • police powers and your rights

  • STI’s

  • blood-borne viruses

  • harm reduction information about various psychoactive drugs

  • alcohol and other drug support services
